Glimpses
"Glimpses"
The title "Glimpses" represent the glimpse of the thoughts which derived from daily thinking. A simple glimpse about rains, fireflies, important dates,etc that struck my mind and immediately transfer into the definition of sounds. There are 8 compositions which are :
1. Growth Spurt
2. Glimpses
3. Something Blue
4. Possibilities
5. Fireflies
6. Simplified
7. Nov 8th
8. When it Rains
I dedicate the "Fireflies" for my dearest friends who gave me such an inspiration about friendship, how they really took care of me during every moment of my life, for being there for me through beautiful and hard times. I salute you guys. They are Amanda, Arga, Tessa, and Pat.
I dedicate "Nov 8th" for my beautiful baby girl, Emily. I thank God the most for bringing her into my life.
Simplified is actually a protest against everything that is unbelievably chaotic. Sometimes what it needs is simply to be simplified.
When it Rains is a about how I love rain so much but since I live in Jakarta, I could never ask to much of it, otherwise it will cause a massive flood.
This project was premiered at Teater Salihara April 22nd 2012. The musicians are :
Mery Kasiman, Piano
Indra Perkasa, Contrabass
Elfa Zulham Syah, Drums
Dony Koeswinarno, Flute
Pipit Nurwidayati, Oboe
Eugen Bounty, Clarinet
Seto Wiwoho, Drums
